We do not have any projects ourself other then to bring the new X&Y’s to the area the 500cc Dune buggy is fun! without the gov. it could be a lot of fun! Behind our store the older guys around have been telling me there is a 1/4mile drag straight that use to be up and running in the late 70s early 80s? We have a big parking lot would be cool to have a car show in the spring?

My dad said something one time about an 1/8 mile drag strip somewhere in Glens Falls back in the '70’s.

So where is the line drawn on this? John it goes without saying its nothing personal as I’m just asking for my own clarification so i don’t get dinged in the future. (asking because of your own sig). Maybe you’re a sponser and I don’t know it, if so, my bad.

Yes, there used to be a drag strip in the Queensbury area many years ago. Near Hudson Falls as I recall.
Good to see more people from ‘up north’ on here! I’m from Ticonderoga. We need to get more people involved from Glens Falls-the Canadian Border.

That has been in my Sig for a long time actually lol I forgot its there . Was there when I made my bonesqueeze thread advertising my shop before the shit storm started . Basically u can show off what a shop did for u or give props /praise etc . Having a shop show off there work or advertising without sponsor is a no no . At least how I understand the ruling .

It’s off of exit 17 behind Autoworld Jeep. I heard that the land is for sale but I doubt if it will ever be able to be used for a dragstrip now as some trailer park is adjacent to it. I find it funny that they built a trailer park next to an environmental contamination clean up project. I’m sure the old dragstrip land could be had cheap as it’s a brownfield site.

I agree, doubtful you could ever turn it back into a drag strip…maybe if it was private. I think this guys shop (the OP) is in that google map pic you posted.
