the VTEC systems in the TSX and K20’s(excluding the 03 SI) are designed for top end performance are completely different than the VTEC systems in the accord/crv motors. the VTEC systems in those care are geared purely for economy. i believe only one valve opens before VTEC engages, and VTC is only on the intake cam.

ok, so what’s the advantage of swapping heads? I don’t get it.

Not really a hard thing to answer. If the k24 head had flowed as well I am sure they would have just used that head rather then spending money on another head

awesome logic, but i’m still waiting for a slightly more technical answer.

The k20 head out flows the k24. There is nothing more technical about it

I want to know why. and “because thats what everyone is using” is a shitty explanation.

No its because its proven to out flow and make more power. There are simple answers for simple questions

or do you have comparative dyno graphs so we can stop going round and round?

</div>

have you ever heard of a flow bench? air flow is air flow my man. weather you have vtec or not. thats why single cam f22a’s can make so much power if done correctly, their ports are huge and the heads flow a ton of cfm. not to mention the valve train geometry allows for a more aggressive cam profile. get out on the internet and do some research for your dyno graphs. or better yet call morgan and ask him to explain why. im sure he can help you.
