# KA driveshaft into SR??? help....

I am having some major problems with my KA driveshaft fitting into my SR tranny. I have tried everything, jacking it up, kicking it, moving it, bending(slightly), putting it on without the tranny crossmember bolted, putting it on With the tranny crossmember bolted, etc etc.
The tranny and the driveshaft both line up but the driveshaft is about 1 inch from the output shaft(? i think that is what it is called) on the SR tranny.
I am kinda pissed and cannot figure out what to do with this…

It should line up. I had not problems with mine. Its easier with the cross memeber off. Did you knock off the end piece on the SR transmission?

Yes I removed the dust cover from the SR. I am using the output shaft from the ka. Like I said, it lines up…the bolts line up, the shaft lines up, it is just 1 inch to far to actually bolt in. ☹

how is the shifter centered in the hole in your tranny tyunnel.
i had this problem… but that was cus i had a bent motor mount and the wrong rubber mounts… i suggest you check that

Shifter is a good possiblity - I just assumed it was out!
