Well if you have a remote starter it will work cause you would have the bypass but only the 04 sti has that titanium key. All the rest are chipped and in turn are teh ghey. ---

yes my sti is an 04, thats the original key that came with the car ---

^ I have the black one. There is some kind of little slot at the base of the key on the tab. I imagine that is where the chip is. It doesn’t look as though it is imbedded in the key itself. ---

Yep, if you look at the base of the plastic/rubber part (facing down toward the metal key part) you’ll see the little outline of the chip. ---

i actually took the rubber cover off the valet key, its not something that you can pull out, it is molded into the plastic of the key. ---
