# King of the Hammers 2010

I’m not sure if any of you have heard of this, but its the 3rd incarnation of it this year and just wrapped up in February in Johnson Valley California.
It is essentially a 1 day race, 135 miles, it combines desert racing ie baja 1000 with unforgiving rock crawling in between. I’ve been keeping a eye on this event and it has completely blown up. I’m already making travel plans to attend the next one and just wanted to show you guys whats coming down the pipe. Also another thing to keep in mind, the LARGE majority of these buggies are LSx powered, most in the 450+ hp range, the winner this year loren healy ran a LS2 with ~500hp

and here is a quick (read 8 min) preview of what exactly goes on, its a week long party in a dry lake bed with some racing in between
I know its almost a year away to plan, but time flies, if your interested in tagging along let me know, it should be a good time
