If you are leaving a good paying job then I would research it more, but if you are not “doing well” now, you’ve got nothing to loose, give it a shot! Worse case senario you learn that you don’t like a job like this and you can strike it off the list of potential occupations.

P.S. As far as the title “Vacuum Salesman” goes, if you do well at it, you could care less 😉

honestly, the “upperclass” areas can be much harder to sell in. rainbow sells more units in olean then the buffalo areas, because the “lower class” areas are WAY more likely to watch a demo
i could give you a call list for amhearst and a call list for springville, and you would book twice as many demo’s in springville
more money = more likely to bitch you out and ask you “how did you get my phone number”

I don’t make any calls. The appointments are set up for me and the company provieds transportation…they drop me off and pick me up…all I have to do is the demos. I sold one today, made $300 commition and get a bonus MP3 player…wooot!

How much are these things if you can make $300 commission on one sale?
Edit: A quick google answer is $1,290 retail, with eBay sellers coming in at ~$650. Is that right?

1290 would be internet price … 2000+ is in home, fully warrany, options are extra … on par w/ rainbows more or less
