# Kitchener area SR20DET owners...

Hello all… I’m new to this forum “referred by Kaon” I live in Kitchener and am currently getting ready to swap out my KA24de for a SR20det… I’m wondering if anyone local or close enough to me has this engine and if so how good has it been for you and what do you do for parts around here as in good local shops aware of the SR20DET cause it seems no one in kitchener knows of it…

yeah there really aren’t very many, when i’m in school i’m 1 of the 3 known who have one in the kitchener waterloo area.

I had mine here ever since I started comming to Laurier. At that time you
still had your SR on the floor in your garage.
I was first. Beeeotch!
And as for shops that know the SR20, I’m sure nobody knows as much
about them as us, the guys who have them. Just make friends with
people in the club, and you will get all the help you need.

wait, we might have a tie with the 1st SR, … it was in mine on my move in day back in september 03, i think andrew was the same.
so i take it back,
and with the damn windstar.
i wasn’t racing and he floored it, i saw him burn off so i floor it in 1st at like 800 rpm, it bogged down huge because the rpm’s were too low because i didnt’ hard start and i was new to the engine. And what he didn’t mention was i caught up as he cut me off 😮 , this was before the exhaust fuel pump and rasing the boost.

hahaahaha nikkiboi. sadly you’ll never get your rematch, the windstar is dead ahahaha. And no i didn’t sell the 240, and i’ll wait till june to see if you can finally take mine full out, I’m willing to bet that if i don’t win, we’ll be neck-and-neck.

Hey I have an SR in my '90 240, and I’m in Kitchener. I know a guy who is awesome with the 240’s, but he’s in Guelph. I don’t really know of anyone in K\_W though.

Acording to who says you had the “first” SR?
Im pretty sure guys in Japan back in 1990 had it before you did…
