hey everyone im wondering if the kyb gr-2’s are good with lowering springs. ive tried to look up some information on them but it says its suppose to be just better than oem, but will the lowering springs blow out the gr-2’s like it would oem ones after a while??

Depends on the drop. I’ve run GR2s with a 2" drop with no problems. As long as you still have your bumpstops in place, you’ll be fine.

The dampening is a bit soft, but even with 6/5 springs, it handles nice, and is still really stiff, but doesn’t oscillate like crazy or anything.

We had a set on the Precidia with Ground Control coilovers and never had a problem and that was for about a year. I know someone who used the Eibach Pro-Kit with a set of GR2’s and also had no problems but I have seen a few times were as the gr2’s didn’t like the Sportline kit so it really depends on the type of springs your looking at.

I will be installing the KYB’s with sportlines this weekend, I’ll keep you updated on what the ride feels like, handles etc.

i have the kyb with sportline right now and its a really good setup, the car is really responsive and firm but not bumpy on our shitty roads. i even tracked it with this setup and its was really decent.
