Hahaha. I’m laughing so hard at this thread right now. Unreal. :lol:rofl

Ilya, I understand, but “resistant” doesnt mean “proof”. I’ve lost things to water damage cuz theyre water resistant NOT water proof. it helps prevent some damage but it cant stop all the damage.
i really would suggest you trace those peices onto some 1/4inch plexi and cut that out and mount that infront of your fogs. that should do the trick.

I’ve been going back and forth with them and it looks like they think it cracked because of rapid temp change (bulb/fog light is hot and rain/puddle of water or something else rapidly cooled it). I don’t see how day to day driving would randomly make my fog lights crack due to temperature since these are OEM and I’m not running HID’s in them but whatever. My other sets lasted more than 2 weeks and I’m sure they experienced the same ‘rapid temperature change’ that Lamin-X referred too over the course of their 6+ months of service prior to cracking due to a rock.

They ended up refunding me $14.95. I was surprised to get anything from them.

^^ lol.

The full kit is like $55 + S/H. So they only gave me the cost of the fog film back since I didn’t install/use the headlight film that is much bigger and probably the bulk of the cost.

35w 3500k halogen lights. Not HID. Which is why I was surprised when they mentioned the temperature stuff. They are OEM replacement bulbs. Another guy on the [Maxima.org](http://Maxima.org) forum had the same issue with his fog film but his headlight film (which I did not install) had no issues.

Is 35k the legit stock wattage? I dont even think rocks broke your lights at the exact same time. I buy the temp change crack argument.

Sincerely,
Tried to use 55w foglight bulbs many years ago

Yes. 35w is stock on both the headlight and fog light. I’m running 55w HID’s in my headlights, 35w halogen in my fog lights.

I’m honestly starting to think none of you have seen the 40 mil film in person and have only seen/used the 20mil film which is what most people probably order from them as they are getting the film for looks.

Do you fuckers understand how thick it is? It should absolutely be able to take a decent sized pebble. Unless you’ve used the 40mil version they have, STFU. It’s probably the same thickness, if not a little less, of plexi which was suggested in earlier posts.

Regardless, it probably wasn’t caused by a rock. They are saying thermal shock. Why all of a sudden these fogs cracked due to thermal shock when my previous sets of fogs DIDN’T crack for MONTHS (they cracked from rock chips) is beyond me. I’m not running super hot bulbs. Just your basic fog light bulb. During the install, you spray both sides of the film since it absorbs water. I’m wondering if this ability to absorb shit has anything to do with this ‘thermal shock’ they claim. Or maybe their product just sucks like I said in my original post? I guess we’ll never know.
