# Land Rover Discovery II Opinions

So I know there’s got to be a few people on these boards that have owned Land Rover Discovery’s before. I was just wondering if I could get a few **personal opinions** on what you thought about your vehicle when you owned it.

I’d also appreciate anything that was prone to breaking, and your overall feelings about the vehicle.

I’m looking for any input - but would appreciate on specific years of 1996-2002 Era.

Personally I haven’t owned one, but I’ve driven one for some time. I liked it. Very solid ride and a tank in the snow. IMO better than the LR2 that replaced it. And the last version with the Range-Rover-like headlights and suede interior is pimp. :tup:

It wasn’t mine so I don’t have any input on any maintenance issues.

Lots of cooling system issues. I’ve worked on a bunch of them that all had leaks. No experience with owning or driving one.
