I purposely left a good 2 inch lip from the lawn to the bed, in case a heavy rain came and washed the mulch down. I’m not too worried about it for now, if it becomes a problem I’ll deal with it then, since it’s nothing that cannot be fixed. All the landscaping in the office parks have this type of setup, without any type of plastic or stone border, and I never see a problem with it washing out into the grass.

They do own that part of the property, but they never do anything with it so I wanted to make it nicer.
