I need some help again… i want to pull files off of a laptop harddrive (laptop is dead) and put them onto my desktop, what do i need to do this? i’m assuming they make somthing usb that will allow this? can someone point me in the right direction? they make a cable that has the laptop HDD pins going to a molex, its like 3 bucks from CDW ---

i have an adapter that allows you to plug your laptop HDD into your computer, works very well. couldn’t tell you how much it cost as i got it from a friend. basically its a circuit board that plugs into your laptop hard drive and has a power plug hanging off of it and on the other end are the pins for your normal IDE ribbon cable. i could let you barrow it if you like. PM if you want to ---
