Well here is a little post to see how much you made/lost in the last 3 cars you’ve owned or currently owned. You always pay for things you enjoy whether it be cars, women, drugs, or a good beer. Just remember how much fun it was at the time, you paid for an experience in life. ---

Lets see. 1990 240sx Bought:$1k Invested:$ jack shit, and runs like a champ 2006 R1 bought: who the F cares, it’s a money pit 1976 280z Bought$ 200 bucks ( shitty eBay listing 🙂 ) Invested : $200 for sheet metal Up on bricks 1996 lumina with 63k on the od Bought $1300 Invested $600 (DIY head gaskets + engine rebuild kit) Sold $2k Loss $ 1,500 ( The kid died, only gave me $500, didnt bother his family for it) Previous to this, I was banking hardcore buying cars from auctions and listing them in the papers the next day, but I didnt drive those. ---

If you graphed your totals it would end up as a bias error as it would average out as more or less a constant as the fees are generally the same unless you include the fact that your insurance rate fluctuates. ---

i wouldnt count on insurance, because of the great degree of variance here (this site is of 12 yr olds upto 55 yr olds). However, those people who say they made $500 on a car are wrong, once they remember that they’ve given a fair chunk of that to NYS. Then obv there is insurance & maintenance again. ---
