the vizio stuff has great pricing. I am just worried about the picture. I know the picture on the LG will look better but by how much. and if its worth the extra 200+ dollars.

After hearing so many positive reviews about Sharp Aquos, I grabbed a 42" and love it. I don’t see anything out there that beats it price wise… err at least what I paid.

i got the 37 inch vizio and to be honest, I think I wanna take it back. After the warranty and tax I got it for 1043 from sears with no payments or interest for 1 year. But I dont like the picture on some channels. Im wondering if it has anything to do with direct tv. I was considering trying HD before I take it back. I dont feel like I got my moneys worth. The 32 inch vizio in the store looked great even compared to the LG sitting below it

I know nobody likes to listen to me on this for some reason, but I will still state my case. You Get What You Pay For!!!
Vizio is GARBAGE
Olivia is GARBAGE
Element is GARBAGE
And the list goes on and on.
I work with HD all day everyday I see 3-5 HD TV’s everyday and All I can say is you get what you pay for. If you are going to make this large of an investment in your entertainment buy something worth the large amount of money you are about to spend. That being said…
Buy a Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Hitachi, or Sharp. In that order.

EDIT: WTF!!! Your picture is going to suck on any HD TV unless you upgrade to HD service. You need to call DirecTV right now and upgrade to the HD package and get the new H21.

I tend to not recommend budget brands but if I absolutely had to get one it would be a Westinghouse.

Otherwise…Sony,Sharp,Samsung.

Sony and Samsung are the top LCD brands. I just bought a 52" Sony Bravia XBR4 and its ridiculous! But both brands sell smaller sizes in their high end line that are just as good!

Sony has bowed out of the HD race, I would put money on that shitty Westinghouse having the same picture quality as a Sony LCD.
