# lend a cat?

Hey I need to pass emmisions, but I have a straight pipe and an sr20det. anyone willing to lend me a cat? or help me make the car pass. I havent bothered test it yet because I am assuming it wont pass. any help is appreciated.

1/4 tank 91 octane … 4 litres of Methanol = never fail an etest again!

you’ll still need a cat though.

methanol works fantastic on etests but a catalitic converter is required. I’ve never seen firsthand proof of anyone actually passing without one. even hondas and dsm’s are too dirty without a cat.

I’ve got one from an R32 GTR that may fit your car? It fits my R32, and my friends SR20 powered GTi-R both. I think nissan used the same cat throughout the early 90’s on everything turbo powered. It’s got a 2 bolt flange on either end, they’re offset about 45\* from each other.

PM me if interested - I’d want $20 to cover shipping and a $80 deposit to make sure I get it back in one piece.

got the e-test, ended up doing the hotrod test and passed

hot rod test??? i just did mine yesterday and failed everything! LOL and my ka is stock!
