Ive done numerous swaps both ways and never had a problem. If im going to go look at a car, usually i will have the cash in my pocket and taking said vehicle right there makes it alot easier  
.especially if its out of state

Not at all the plates are invalid once I turn them in.

he reported them stolen making them invalid and still got the ticket.

Well…I am in the clear. got plates back and the kids were actually really nice, but…never again not worth it…I say that now until i want to drive a new car home on someones plates.
