I would have been very disappointed if Laviolette had won this. Even though they won the cup, Pete showed no faith in his goalies, and he had to deal with very few hardships throughout the year. Lindy on the otherhand… injuries throughout the season, and even a problem with his family, and the Sabres still showed up everynight and finished strong. ---

Its no Lord Stanley…and he did deserve both…but…he did a phenomenal job with a lot of no namers that now everyone on the street knew by name and #…kinda like Major League. ---

:tup: they vote on all the awards before the playoffs start so they are not swayed by that however. at least that always used to be the way, i dont think they changed it. ---
