Well yes benny, and I will say thats why I never wanted to touch this game, but they had a $14 3 month deal going on so I figured what the hell, and honestly I will continue to play, I love this game, sense of accomplishment and the community make it great.

Yes theirs only oval and road racing, and you have to pay for the cars, but unless you want to own and race everything its not much and you own the cars once you buy them.
