Homestead has invested in police, theres that new station on forest ave. more and more i see the crusiers with 2 cops in them (before it was rare to see more then one cop in a car) As things start to pickup they, and more businesses move down there the area around it will upgrade. If you drive back into homestead, W homestead, and munhall areas you will see some new housing and so on, buildings on 8th ave are starting to be remodeled and so on. I think it will take some more time. I also agree that there needs to be better ways in and out of the waterfront, getting into that area from 7th ave and over the train tracks is a pain, and then getting out that way to go over the tracks or to get up to the bridge is worse. The easiest way to get in and out is from the far end by the rankin bridge, but you have to live out that way to even make it worth the while. ---

As to the South Side Works Theater. All you have to do is shot down carson to hotmetal street. or if you are comming inbound from the parkway (monroville area) get off at the glenwood exit then onto 2nd ave to the hot metal bride (so much easier to do then if you were coming the same way to go to the waterfront) The only tricky part is getting to the SSW from say the north hills, theres no exit on the park way that will drop you right into the area. HOLD UP Cutty, every county is different for obtaining a permit. you MUST get it in the county you live. Butler still uses a paper system as well as westmorland and so forth. Allegheny County is a wlak in walk out deal because its all computerized and phone checks. I walked in filled out the application, and left 15 min later with a photo permit. Allegheny county you must go down to the Court house. Take your drivers licence and a vehicle registration. THEY MUST MATCH addresses. You can not use your birth certificate because they have to verify you LIVE in allegheny county. Direct from their site. Trust me I went though this because my registation was still at my dad’s since I was a live in fire fighter when I bought the Cav, and when I went to get my permit me and Jenn had teh apartment. I never switched it because the apartment was only temprary until we bought our house and I didn;t want to go though switching stuff every year. _ **What do I need to bring when applying for a NEW permit?** _ One primary AND One secondary identification with the current address on it. _ **Primary Identification:** _ Pennsylvania Drivers License (or)Pennsylvania Identification Card _ **Secondary Identification:** _ Voters Registration Vehicle registration Current W-2 Form Nurses license, barber’s license, cosmotology license, etc. _**(name and address must match the primary identifcation)**_ _**The name(s), address(es), and phone numbers of (2) two references**_ (you may NOT use immediate family members as references – mother, father, brother, grandmother, etc.) If you know any law enforcment officers personally they are a good reference just let them know you are using them and get their info. I used my retired Fire Cheif who was also a Cop. Also its good to use another person who has a permit and it a close aquaitance. If you need any other help let me know via PM. ---

Got a 2 year old girl now instead…I need to stay put. ---

Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris didn’t shoot up Columbine because of Doom and The Matrix. Black people don’t shoot black people because of 50 Cent. It’s easy access to guns, understaffed police departments, a joke of a criminal justice system, and poor parenting that lead to this shit. ---

I dont feel like reading this whole thread… I work at the waterfront(bestbuy), You get people from,downtown, alot of people from monroeville area, and alot of yuppies. its very diverse There are shootings everywhere… ---
