The northeast, and more specifically Western New York, is its own little bubble when it comes to certain aspects of culture. I was down in Cleveland with 2TurboZ a few years ago. Went to a pizza place for some food. Ordered a pizza and wings, and they looked at us like a dog that doesn’t understand you. Come to find out, they don’t have a deep frier there, so no wings, fingers, fries, etc. Another example, down in Florida 2 years ago for a vendor show. Ordered food from a restaurant in the resort. Ask for hot sauce, waitress tilts her head and gives me a blank stare. After a second or two, she asks “Tobascco sauce?”.
