# longer 5th gear?

What would be required of me to get a longer final gear in my 200?

you kind of asked 2 questions there… which would you like to change, 5th gear or Final Drive?
in either case you would have to replace a set of gears, be it the 5th gear and pinion in the transmission, or the ring and pinion in the differential (NX is FWD no? lol)
and btw whats a 200? NX200? 200SX?

I was assuming 200 as in R200 diff

the SR and KA tranny if i recall are the same except that the KA 5th gear is longer. Bellhousing being the difference

no thier not the same believe me. if you want more out of the top end change the gear ratios in the diff its the cheapest way to go about more top speed without all the money or headaches

what is different about them? the guy that did the bell housing swap seemed to know what he was talking about and I did a quick google.
I’m just interested any smart car company keeps parts as universal as possible makes sense to me they would be a lot of the same parts. What internals make the KA different from the SR
