Not trying to make excuses for a car company, but in those 10 years safety regulations changed… which equals heavy cars.

Its hard to find a CHEAP sub 2500lb car these days. Even Mini coopers are still around 2500lbs and those cars have practically nothing to them.

The day of cheap, light as shit tin can cars are long gone sadly.
