ducs suck!!! to much maintenance, not enough power, over priced. they do really suck as for a machine. they need alot more maintenance frequently then any other bike on market. biggest thing they got is name and resale. a 748 makes like 60 hp. thats nothing their torque isnt much either coming from a twin. handling isnt bad but cant match a jap bike of equal performance. the valves on them have to be serviced like every 8k miles. their clutches i think are dry style. i will admit with some good pipes they sound mean but that is about it. even the 999r doesnt stand up to a inline litre bike of the jap. and you just paid 30k for it. where a top litre bike is 10 to 11k and they require alot less maintenance. just some insight --- _[View the full topic](https://forums.speedlife.net/t/looking-for-a-ducati/173138)._
