So before I acquired it, my vehicle was sitting, no interior, with standing water in it for quite some time. the interior smells like what you would imagine the titanic would smell like. I also had an incident where I left a 1/4 full, 5 quart jug of unused motor oil in the car all winter, at some point it overturned and leaked. so. a cleanser for old mildew standing water smells and petroleum spills. im looking for something that will clean up both and leave me with a better smelling foundation for me to lay my new-to-me interior on

also. it is a Honda, so I would like some sound deadening… these cars didn’t come with any. preferable something I can paint on over the metal, after it has had a good cleaning. a rust prevention aspect would also be nice

looking for opinions based on personal experience! thanks guys.

Google came up with this [http://www.amazon.com/GT-Liqui-Damp-Automotive-Sound-Dampener/dp/B009POJSCS](http://www.amazon.com/GT-Liqui-Damp-Automotive-Sound-Dampener/dp/B009POJSCS)

And to prevent rust use por15 on anything metal first.

There is a spray on sound deadener called Lizard skin that I was reading about recently as I too am looking to do some thermal/sound management in the cabriolet project.

Apparently you can make something similar by mixing microballons (tiny fiberglass spheres) into regular paint. [http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/alternative-lizard-skin-103610.html](http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/alternative-lizard-skin-103610.html)

I also have a couple other things bookmarked

I have also heard that this works quite well and is very light if thats something you need. I think maybe @**[cougarspeed](http://www.nyspeed.com/member.php?u=1346)** used it on a project before. [http://www.dynamat.com/brands/dynapad/](http://www.dynamat.com/brands/dynapad/)

EDIT: Likely any all purpose cleaner (meguiars etc) or some simple green, or paint thinner (on the oil) would get things cleaned up.
