# looking for a specific motion detection setup

does anything like this exist?
I have two outside lights on my garage that are wired to a switch in my kitchen.
What I want to do is have them turn on for X hours at dusk and then switch off. I then want them to turn on via motion detection whenever there is motion and it is dark outside.
thoughts?

I have not seen anything on the market but I know that I could wire you a simple control panel panel with a timing relay on a light sensor and a bypass circuit controlled by the motion detector.

^^ That is a pretty cool product, unfortunately the reviews are pretty bad. I think that I may pick one up just to try it out since my switch and light are pretty close.

those are kind of what I’m looking for… but I want on/off, not high/low. might be the closest thing I’m going to find without going custom

Get a standard motion light and plug into a timer…? Kind of half assed but you can get two good quality products to use.

AFAIK they are on/off when it is just motion and high/low when it is both motion and within the specified “dusk” interval.
