plx is the way to go. not to expansive and works great i used them at the shops i used to work at. pretty much dead on too. and they use a volkswagon 02 sensor ---

I have used the zeitronix before and it is a great unit. It will also read RPM values. PLX is a great device too 🙂 ---

^^ it reads rpm only when data logging it also has a second 5 volt imput that you can wire to you tps or maff or any other 5 volt out put on your car. Mael ---
