The reason you don’t see it is what commen person brings there car to the alarm installer when it does not start? they bring it to the shop who tells them the alarm went bad and the shop charges them 150 bucks to remove it.

I’m not saying they can’t cause problems because I have seen it happen. I’d bet that 99% of the time they don’t is all I’m saying. The few instances I saw problems was when we couldn’t get the resistance close enough to what the computer wanted. I always gave people the choice of a resistor or paying the $ for the bypass box and told them the chances of what the resistor could do. I highly doubt after telling people what could happen that they took the car to the dealership if it wouldn’t start. People who charge $ to do the bypass and use a resistor instead are hacks. The ones who give people the option and let them decide if they want the risk are not. But again… his car so I don’t care either way.

ok… thats fine resistor works 99% of the time… but why did they charge him(my bro) 70 bucks for a resistor? If I pay 70 bucks I want the real thing. The bypasses are only 15 if you go on eBay so that’s what I did
