\*\ ***LOOKING FOR USED VQ35!!!** Anyone have a used or even new VQ35 engine from a 350z, the dealership near my house want a fortune, I’d rather go a little cheaper, although if I cant find one used, I’m gonna have to settle for a brand new one from the dealership for 10 grand they said without tranny, I think its a little too much, but whatever, if its brand new its all good, thought I see if anyone has a used one first before I go drop 10 gs on a stock engine without tranny. PM me or just post a response if you got any ideas or have on for sale personally. thanks guys, oh, and any suggestions on what route to go with, feel free to leave a few words. ---

have you considered rebuilding yours it will a hell of alot cheaper. Check in with SG motorsport, the specialize in VQs and had some laying around the shop they might sell. ---

I got a quote from collins nissan in st. catharines, they said 10gs without tranny, I was like, WHOOA, it aint even turbo’d, nor trainy, oh, and its for a vq conversion into an s14 ---

thanks for the input, I have found a few places to get the engine itself without all the accessories like starter, etc for 1500, in the states, called cherry autoparts, aswell as a few others who have contacted me with good deals with tranny, wayyyyyy under 10 grand, I guess the fact that it would have been new, and nissan is the manufacturer, probably play a factor in that 10 grand price tag. But I was talking to the shop in the states, and apparently VQs and SRs are old news? what are people doing these days for engine swaps, personally, I was too young to do a VQ swap when it was all the craze, so I’m doing it now, & I’m not going to change my mind, I almost decided to go SR since it was more available and popular, but I gotta go back to my first idea, my first ambition to do a VQ, might aswell do it, and see how it turns out, time isn’t a big deal, I could always do another swap further down the road, but for now, its a VQ, so please no temptations to try & change my mind. Thanks for the words, I want to keep this forum open as long as I possibly can because I want to hear what people have to say about this swap, so all words & any words are welcome, just regardlest if a person who knows nothing, or a person who knows all is posting, noone make fun or insult anyone, we are all here because we like cars, driving them & working on them, & the point of forums is to educate the uneducated & to ignite the minds of the ignorant, so please, keep your insults for your wives or girlfriends. ---
