# Looking into purchasing a red or black top s13 sr. any suggestions?

I’m currently looking for a red or black top s13 sr20det. I’ve been on a few sights like torontojdm and jdmplanet etc etc, I’ve even looked into buying a whole car off of kijiji or something. I just wanted some input on where I could grab one from. Where have you guys grabbed your sr’s from. Throw me some reliable sources to add to my research.

Look in the fs thread here. There are some for sale that are currently running in a car so you can check it all out! For a good price too and you get other goodies like fmic etc…
If you can find a cheap enough car with an sr in it, that’s not a bad idea either because sometimes you can get your money back from parting or selling a clean shell plus wiring is converted and stuff like that!
Good luck, also it wouldn’t be a bad idea to buy a compression tester for like $30

Grab the s13 blacktop sr’s, newer motorsets…minor internal upgrades (S14 oil pickup, stronger pistons, oil squirters, high port head, etc…)
