well i somehow misplaced my land survey and i will be needing it for my new garage building permit. has anyone got a copy or duplicate land survey? how did you get it? I have tried calling my lender but they said that they dont have a survey on record. ---

There’s one on file with Erie County I believe. ---

Check with the town first. If one was filed, they would have a copy. If not, your attorney or the seller’s attorney that did the closing will either have it or have access to it. I just went through this… ---

I just went through this… The closing attorney/lawyer went bankrupt…lol how in the world did that happen? eh… any other ideas? i was thinking if i can locate soemthing with who did the survey and call that company to see if they have a copy. ---

Erie County… go down there. There is always one put on file with your deed when that gets filed when you buy a house. ---

[/quote] I also tried the building permit department, they said the only keep a copy of it if there was one on file. but there hasnt been one. so no luck with that one. ---

Not sure what building or what dept. I just know there’s one kept on file there. Do you know what company did the Survey when you bought your house? That’d be another place to contact. ---

^^called erie county, they have no clue what im talking about…but i got good news the attoney transfer all her file to some other company and referred me to them, now they are trying to located my file and hopefully its in there so i can get a copy of this bad boy! ---
