Anyone in the area with a 5.3 LS4 in their W-body? Looking to hear an exhaust in person on one of these since i just bought my '06 Monte SS. Found every clip available online but there is nothing like hearing it in person. Wondering how bad it might sound when it goes in 4 cyl mode. Thanks. ---

doesnt sound bad at all. Plenty of local guys have them. [NAIOA.com](http://NAIOA.com) has a cpl members local with 5.3 Impala’s. Besides get that tuner on there and get rid of the 4cyl option…more power is better. lol ---

With a near perfect launch they can run high 13’s in the quarter, must guys end up with a low 14 cause of wheel spin. Modded LS4’s (N/A) have ran 13.1 Not to bad for a daily driver. ---

LOL, Yeah the guy that bought it was Ed, Adam was his friend. He got the motor running and it blew minutes later. Pulled it apart and there was actual corn kernals in the oilpan. WTF, i know. So he had a guy named Pat Anestasia (sp?) a fairly well known engine guy rebuild it. He moved to Albany and took the car there. I saw him last week and he was telling me all the plans for the car. I heard it run about a year ago and it sounded bad ass. It will all come together soon. Paint is next for sure. That cracking is strange. Oh well, good deal on both ends i think. ---

Lol at corn kernels…wtf did that come from? The paint I guess was over-hardened, like mixed too much hardener. The cam in it is pretty lopey, it was def. tough sounding when I had it. ---

I dont know if it sat in a field at your place or his place. Maybe mice or something else crazy. Cant imagine how something could crawl down inside the pan though.
