# Mac Optical Drive Install

SO i have gathered that I need a new optical drive for my 2008 white macbook. Would anyone be willing to tackle this project for a reasonable price if I purchase the optical drive ahead of time.

really nothing to it, except the small screwdriver (00). Check out [ifixit.com](http://ifixit.com). They pratically have everything on there with detailed instructions and pictures…

If you don’t mind I’d rather have you tackle it. I tend to break delicate things when I try to fix them and then it ends up a big mess… I’ve got gorilla hands that makes it more difficult.
