I hooked up a linksys wireless router to a mac and it has to be restarted after it goes to sleep because it loses internet connection. Any suggestions?

dhcp renewal? It’s probably not a problem with the mac, more likely the settings on the router. We had a kid bring his macbook pro in with the same symptoms, and I haven’t experienced the same issue with it here yet, so I am assuming it is a problem with his router setup.

It is a wireless router, but it is hardwired to the computer.
The router settings are the default settings too.(not sure if that helps)

my mini has trouble connecting to linksys sometimes too. its weird, it will have connection for a couple days, then just drop off and stop working for no reason for a few hours.
