# MAC video upload question

so ive been screwing around making videos with my finalcut express on my mac, and i just tried to upload one to youtube… anyone have any clue why it would’nt work. it uploaded then said it was’nt able to turn to a video file??

no clue

normally would’nt it say .jpeg or something

it says .fcp

yeah…fcp stands for final cut pro…meaning it’s not an actual video format…is the an “Export” option in Final Cut Pro? I’m not familiar with the program…What you’ll probably end up with is a .mov extension or .avi.

Yeah you have to export it as a final cut pro movie or export it as quicktime, file, export…

I’m basing this off an old version of finalcut pro though so your version may be different.

yeah thats what i ended up doing

i exported it and converted it as a quicktime movie…

thanks guys
