i’ve never valeted my car before. i was under the impression that you tip when they give it back to you. maybe josh or one of his minions can confirm or dis-confirm this.
also, i get the feeling that someone that is ignorant enough to pound the shit out of these cars, video tape it, and post it on the internet is going to do it regardless of whether or not they’re tipped.

for the two weeks i worked valet i never fucked with anyones car… there also was no good cars since it is buffalo.
you have to be a real shithead to fuck with someone elses car, imo.

You tip a valet whenever you want, but if you have a special car or request you do it when you arrive.

If you tip when you arrive are they going to be expecting another tip when you leave?
I’ve always tipped valets when I leave and never really thought about it. My car is loud enough that if they were ass clowning in it I’d probably hear it, or hear about it. 🙂

well when you pull into a nice place driving a nice car, your going to want it parked up front. To ensure that, you tip the valet before.
If your smart when you do that, you dont give him the entire tip, you give him half and ensure the rest upon delivery of your vehicle in one piece.

Also it’s not like burn out marks all over the parking garage aren’t obvious :picard:
You would think it would be pretty noticeable if someone abused the shit out of your tires and your clutch malfunctioned shortly after handing the car over to a valet. I would definitely sue the valet company and make the individual valets life a living hell if one of those cars were mine.

You’re kidding right? I mean I’d be pissed if someone was doing that with my car and would definitely try to get the kid fired for it, but your clutch isn’t going to fail and your tires aren’t going to go bald after one drift.

Being a ex valet, if someone tipped me a buck when everyone else typically gave me 3 or 4, I would have thought he was a cheap bastard.
Personally, the people who are nice and treat people with respect and dont think their Dale Jr edition monte carlo is a ferrari to us I don’t know anyone who has messed with a car. Bonus points if you know the story. Lol
