While we’re on the topic, did they ever determine what happened to the other plane? That story just seemed to drop off after a while, never heard if there was a resolution. ---

The FAA’s biggest concern here is people shining laser pointers in the sky and flying donres…not planes getting shot down by missile’s **cough cough** police state. Things could be much worse here. ---

Gonna go with a case of mistaken identity on a SAM operator’s part. The little shoulder-fired deals can’t go 30,000+ ft., you need a medium or large missile to get into commercial flight lanes. Probably mistook it for a cargo bird. ---
