$17,000 for brakes? are you sure you don’t have 1 too many 0’s there? Having a hard time believing you have to pay ~14% of the price of the car to do a brake job… Even the ZR1 that shares the same Carbon Ceramic rotors as the Enzo is ~6k

The fact that a 2009 911 with the Ceramic Brake Option that needs serviced already is silly.

Is it a street car ?

it doesnt need serviced yet. simply stating that’s what it will cost when it does come time. yes it is a street car. with that said, i dont see it needing serviced for a while knowing how ccb brakes are wear wise. truth be told, we may never need to buy a set of rotors.

>
> if guy got money to buy the bugatti, he has money to maintain it. My guess is he either is afraid to drive the car or needs money so sold/traded it in.
>
> edit–just read the article. guy who owned the car seems like a car guy. buys and drives shit, then off loads them. owned a mclaren f1 and some expensive italians. seems more like he got bored w/ the car. either way he probably got a free vette out of the deal. by time he bought the bugatti, drove it for x miles/time–traded it in and got paid–the paid amount probably covered his initial cost of ownership and enough money to pay for the vette. as the buggatti keeps going up in price. i highly doubt he took a hit on the deal.

dont forget the luxury tax 😉

Many high-end automakers offer carbon-ceramic brakes designed to better dissipate heat and prolong braking performance during extreme driving, such as on a racetrack. Ferrari’s are the priciest, at $18,500 for the 599 GTB Fiorano (the seventh ranked option) and $16,808 for the F430 (ninth on the list). Bentley’s previously mentioned carbon-ceramic brake system for the Continental GT is $308 less than the F430’s.

care to explain? im not following what you are getting at? i think you are trying to get a dig at me for stating cost of a brake job. Yet if you had any reading comprehension you would see the prices were listed after i was asked if i had an extra zero… I know when you first joined here i mentioned you looked like a retard in a picture and you got all salty–i hope you are not trying to prove me right w/ my assumption.
