I went to the Town Ballroom for the blues show Friday night and one of the bands (that looked like it would be right at home on the front porch of a shack in a swamp) said they were playing at Croc on Fat Tuesday. They were pretty good. Could be worth going to if you want some low country blues to go with your tittys. ---

I won’t ever be out on Thanksgiving eve, halloween, or new years eve downtown but this and st patty’s day are the only drinking night I can handle since most people have to work tomorrow so its not as crazy as the actual day off holidays. ---

It’s interesting that the 3 biggest amateur nights are all in a 2 month span. The 4th of July and Memorial Day are big drinking days too, but usually more of like a picnic variety. ---
