So the gf and I bought a new mattress yesterday, they deliver and I notice the box spring is an inch longer and 1.5 inches wider than the mattress. The mattress store says this is normal.
:bsflag:

Anyone have any experience with this?

So it’s really just .5" longer and .75" wider? (Assuming it’s centered)

That seems about right. Box springs are framed and mattresses are probably all different sizes variations.

Or I could be wrong, I’m just BSing this.

I like how the Google ads at the bottom of the page are bringing up mattress ads AND dirt bike ads when I view this thread.

It’s summer time so being the box spring is made out of wood it has “swollen”. Once the cold dry weather gets here it’ll shrink back.

hmm seems reasonable I guess. Poor people making mattresses probably don’t give a shit anyways.
