# May 31/June 1 (Cleveland/Pittsburgh/Buffalo area) Erie, PA - Lake Erie Speedway

Nopi just released 2008 event dates, and looks like we got one near by…  
the NYIRP was a good spectator event for some good 1/4 racing… anybody want to go?

On the Nopi website it shows that event having drift and car show. No drag.

I see two drag events at E-Town and one at Atco though. 🙂

I’ve been waiting to see if the whole Nopi NHRA thing would work out and it has I guess:  
"At “NOPI Drag Racing Series sanctioned by NHRA” events, the competition will be conducted under NHRA’s rules and procedures with NHRA race and tech officials on-site at those events.

NHRA will write the “NOPI Drag Racing Series sanctioned by NHRA” Rulebook with input from NOPI"

I found this interesting:  
“As announced, NOPI will continue to run events at non-NHRA member tracks. Those events will not be under the supervision and guidance of NHRA and competitors will not earn championship points at those events.”

The Englishtown and Atco events will all be NHRA sanctioned.
