yah thats nice… dont know why they went with a top mount but other than that… 2.3l 274hp awd 6spd with lsd rear end… Im definately diggin it. ---

I think, like the Mazdaspeed Protege, they half assed the performance of the car. I was really interested when it was announced, but I sat in one at the car show and did not like it. From what I gather from the reviews I’ve read it’s an overweight (3600 lbs if I recall correctly), slow (0-60 6.5ish), poor handling pig. ---

y dont they throw a motor like that in a sports car like the rx8?! ---

Yeah. The Renesis engine would’ve either been a N/A 3 Rotor or a Turbo 2 rotor (atleast as an option). The RX-8 should be the most powerful Mazda, but it’s not. ---

I just test drove one 2 weeks ago. It was a fully loaded Grand Touring Mazdaspeed 6. Very nice car, handled well for its size and had decent a decent torque curve. The transmission felt solid and shifted well. It lacked any real top end pull, and choked out around 90 mph. But as these guys said its a grand touring sedan, not an EVO/Sti sport sedan. ---
