# MEDIA: 2008 Nismo Festival - The Passion

Ok ok, long time coming for these photos. Just been a little behind with work.
So where to start? I guess by stating this years Nismo festival was a complete bluff. Literally, it was worse than last years minuscule turn out. This was majorly because of the R35. Not one tuner version in the whole show. Nissan basically didn’t want any tuned R35’s to be shown, with the exception of there 24hour endurance version as seen below.
Of course the show wasn’t a complete disaster. Carlos Ghosn showed up unexpectedly and gave a speech in Japanese. Was a shocker…didnt really think he cared to learn the language let alone be man enough to hold up cue cards.
Naturally, like every other year, Nissan has proudly supported the classics. Many of which still take part in the JCCA race program ( [http://www.jcca.cc](http://www.jcca.cc) )
Complete unaltered Z here. From what’s been said, this gem is completely original save for refreshers to the engine and drive train. Recently seen a few clones down at Daikoku futo resembling this machine.
A few more classics.
Group A cars were in an abundance like previous years. This year though, I felt tempted to snoop around a little.
Expressing the engine room from the Unisia Jecs R32.
Cockpit of the STP R32. Once driven by legendary driver Keichi Tsuchiya.
Nice one here of all three R32’s coming through.
And finally, a few more modern vehicles at this years Nismo Festival.
