Yep Metallica, Slayer, Some of the less well known bands like Anvil. But Slayer and Metallica are the two main players in the early 80s metal movement.

Led Zeppelin was the first band to be classified as “Heavy Metal” with the release of Whole Lotta love on their 1969 album Led Zeppelin II.

Ya Metallica is one of if not the most influential metal band of the…well ever lol. Slayer, Anthrax, motorhead etc were all very infuential as well, but Metallica is one of the very top. For their time when they first hit the scene, they were one of the fastest heaviest playing bands to gain recognition.
