ok, so although we’re thinking the same thing about OEM diffs, its probably going to be easier for me to buy a transmission without one and go the aftermarket route.
I haven’t done my research on gearing yet, but i’m open to suggestions. There are an infinite number of options that are available to me since I’m going to be opening it up anyway for the LSD.

well i would go with a dc5r or ep3r used oem diff. they can be sourced for under 400$ usually. and as far as gearing goes

used oem diff is an awesome route. they are affordable, plentiful, and work great!

My goal is to do neither and to keep the maximum amount of factory steel intact and uncompromised (but with significant reinforcements of course).
I’m still working on various solutions to this challenge, but it will be interesting to say the least.

Oh wow.
Edit: The oh wow, was at the RWD, which is awesome. Then I read through the FS thread on K20. Wow, again. You just have the worst luck with buying/selling shit. Hope all goes well Mike. For the record the axle you sold me awhile ago is in the car and working fine still lol.
