# Mirror Issues

Im sure most of you know that My car is in the shop getting painted,
I need some help with the paint,
Okay so the car is gona stay white, however I’m going to be painting teh roof black …
here is my problem…
should I keep the mirrors white? or paint them black too…so the whole upper part is dark? (Hey bing I think this is as two tone as i’ll get)
Personally im leaning towards having them black…but im not 100% sure…
would someone be able to do a Pchop of this for me plz?
I would totally appreciate it

i wanted to do this for a while, sooo dont say copy cat to me…plus our cars look nothing the same so just chill
if n-e one is to call me a copy cat it would be Varun…but…is not being a baby about it like somebody :roll:

Hey!
Here’s the best I can do at work with this ‘Paint’ crap… 🙂
^^^ Mirrors left white…
^^^ Mirrors painted black…
I know they suck, but if you squint it might help a bit!! :lol:

Black.
Basically when you are going two tone, like top one colour, bottom another colour, you want to pretty much draw a line down your car. Below one colour, above one colour.
Post pics when it’s done.

No need to photoshop, just look at my ex-car.
I was going to get my roof painted black as well to match the “black” hood, hatch, and mirrors.

Yeah…see, I would have painted my roof black too but I don’t exactly have a car anymore. Read the story below (the last page has pictures):

Good choice on the black mirrors tho. What else are you getting painted? because if you just get the roof and mirrors painted it’ll be crazy expensive.

If you can get a clean custom job done, then get the top part of your fenders painted too, to keep the lines straight, top half black, bottom half white.

Wow, that guy sitting on your car did all that damage!?!
I think black mirrors … I’ve seen a lot of 240s done up that way, and I think the white mirrors would look like they’re just floating.
Black hoods on cars with pop ups tend to look like you just swapped a hood off a junked black car. The pop ups don’t line up with any other seam either, so it would be tough to make it look intentional.
Make sure your paint shop knows what they’re doing though and prep the plastic properly.
As for doing the AAR treatment (black hood, black fender tops, black door sills and black quarter tops/trunk) I like the idea, but the 240 is too round, it would look weird with a horizontal line splitting a round panel.

I dont get where this line would be… but it doesnt sound too good. most is black pillars, CF hood, black roof.

KRUNK - Uhm … let me see what I have in the realm of pics.
It was a muscle car thing, the AAR Cuda … race homologated street car, very cool. We cloned my brother’s Challenger into one … well, an AAR Chuda.
Paint’s just drying so the stripes aren’t applied yet in this pic.
The trunk and the tops of the quarter panels are flat black too.
If any of you come across this car in the Cambridge area … do yourself a favor and don’t even bother.
