Hope this is the right place to post this. I have been having a hard time finding Mobil1 in the 5 quart bottle at the Wal mart in North Versailes. The price has jumped up on the single quarts to something like 5.40 at this store, but the 5 quart bottles stayed at 20.17. So I was down in Fox Chapel Waterworks Wal Mart last night and they had tons of the 5 quart bottles and they are only 18.07. I picked up 4 - 5 qt bottles since they were so cheap. I asked the automotive guy if they were on special and he said it is always that price. Just thought I’d pass on a good deal if anyone uses the stuff. ---

Interesting. Also, WalMart comforms to it’s surrounding prices so different WalMart stores may have different prices for the same product. The one in Belle Vernon actually sends people to Lowe’s to record their prices on stuff. ---

if you picked up the pep boys calanders they have a coupon for 5 1qt bottles for 15 bucks. ---

i get mine from the one in west mifflin and i think that it was 18 and change also. just changed it 600 miles or so ago. i think with fram filter it came to 22 bucs. (i know people compain about fram. but my neighbor has 490K+ on his truck and uses a fram filter) ---

I believe that prices are coming down on regular Mobil 1. I think it is right around $3.50 a quart at Advance Auto. I just got 6 quarts of the 7500 mile Mobil oil. You just can’t go wrong with synthetic. Amsoil claims that if you buy their filters and oil you only have to change your oil and filter twice in a year, the initial oil change and then 6 months later. At 7500 miles, I only have to change mine twice a year! It’s all about protection.
