PLEASE READ THIS ITS FROM ANOTHER BOARD
Hi, I just got off the phone with my girlfriends mom who talked to a State Trooper at her place of work today. The officer said that ALL roads leading INTO state college will have check points on them. They will be targeting sports compacts specifically (in his words “all sporty cars who look like they might be going to the car show”) He also mentioned that they are checking for legal exhaust systems (better have a cat), headlights (must clear minimum distance from road) and license plates (same guidelines as headlights) and also seatbelts, but who knows, they might ticket for tint, stereos and other cheesy bullshart. This is just a warning, i hope they are just trying to get the word out so people drive more cautiously, but i WOULD NOT put it past them (teh coppers) to actually setup check points at all road leading into SC. They will also be patroling VERY HEAVILY (cops words) in downtown state college and I-80 as well as SR322.

They classify you when you get there.
Outdoors before you go under the tent, they will have you pop your hood and a person will walk around your car with you and a sheet. You will point out the different areas of interest IE, wheels 18inches or bigger, done interior, ICE, Body work, any molded stuff, suspension motor work etc. They will check stuff off if they meet the requirements then tally up the points. Its like if you have 11 and under you are in mild, 12 and over you are in wild. From that point you will go under the tent, and there will be a judge that will go around the car and actually judge it using that sheet as a guide as to what to look for…
That is a down and dirty explination on how they will classify you outside.

State College is pretty easygoing when it comes to public drunkeness. Open container will get busted, though.
We’re leaving now (7:00 AM Saturday). Hopefully I’ll get to meet some of you guys up there.
