Long tubes and a full 3inch exhaust. Then maybe an intake of some sort. Should fill you 2K budget and and best pep in the step/MPG mods you can do. ---

I have an 06 Z56 Tahoe, LS1 swap, Long tubes, full dual 3in, x-pipe, intake, heads, big cam, 2900 stall, 4:11 gears, Eaton Posi, and will be tuned this spring. 2WD FTW It should move out pretty good. It moved pretty well stock. ---

Damn… That thing has to be pretty darn quick.Even in stock form them '06+ Z56 Tahoe’s are pretty snappy.I have seen the NYSP use them for highway enforcement a few times. ---

^^ Haha thats awesome! I have had a few people think my wife was an undercover cop.This happened once to her when she pulled into a GM dealer with my old 9C1 Impala. I do not condone whackerizm,although it can be a little fun when people think you are a real cop. ---

Please add “Acquire the missing door trim” in your list of mods. I know the police had a decal on the door there, and that’s why the trim is not there. But it needs it now that there is nothing there. ---

^I’ll be the first to tell ya that most ex-cop vehicles are not ment to be pretty…Most of them are always missing trim pieces.Some have holes were the spotlights used to be,holes were the antenna’s used to be,and sometimes markes were the police decals used to be,ect… For example look at the blues brothers ‘bluesmobile’,was it nice looking? No…it looked like an old squad car,not something that just rolled off the showroom. ---

Why. Put the money on “mods” in the bank. Just do maintance. Maybe a flowmaster if you do anything. Nothing will make it quicker short of a ls1. ---

yea I think we tend to think that when people say they have 2k to spend that they have $2,005 in the bank when thats not the case. the same thing happened in my e30 thread. regardless of how much money you have I still think you are wasting money trying to make that fast. lol ---

Why would you do weight reduction on a big ass truck? You’ll be going without important shit like a spare tire to save 0.5% weight? :cjerk: It will cost a shit ton of money to make that beast get out of its own way. So here are the only reasonable options: 1 - Exhaust to sound cool 2 - Swampers and a lift 3 - Audio 4 - Truck nuts Anything else will be like pissing in the ocean.
