Dunno how many of you remember these from Bennigans, but god damnit they were delicious. Ever since that place closed I never found anywhere that had them until about 4 weeks ago when I found ‘Off the Wall’ on elmwood. Well they had great ones, but wouldn’t you know they just shut down :mad: anyone know of any local places that make this heart attack on a plate?? If you don’t know what it is, it is basically a deep fried ham and cheese sandwich with jelly. Sounds disgusting, but it is fucking awesome. plz help - I really don’t want to live past 30. ---

Campus cafe has them on north campus in the commons. JP bullfeathers has them in elmwood village ---

brew pub and colter bay both have them :tup: the brew pub one is the better of the 2 ---

If Brew Pub has them, I’m going tonight. This isn’t just a french toast sandwich, it’s a double decker ham+turkey+cheese sandwich, dipped in batter, fully deep-friend. ---

i have never seen one deep fried, it is traditionally ham, turkey, swiss, mustard and bread. Dip it in egg wash and grill like a normal sandwich. Take off grill and bake for 10-15 min. at 350 and voila a crispy sandwich that has been around for years and is an staple at weddings and country club events as an Hors d’oeuvre ---
