Greg Malone to Phoenix!!! WTF…it was on his own terms though. I wonder if Ryan Malone’s spot on the Pens is as “safe” now. Maybe this will kick him in the ass and he will tear it up all season and not 1/2 like last year. Pens picked up Nils Ekman…I think he will be awsome for us. Also picked up a prospect goalie, both for the 2nd round draft pick we got for Recchi. Armstrong and Crosby were the only people to give 100% every game. ---

As recently as a month ago, he indicated he was bidding for the team with an eye toward moving it to Kansas City, but has since said he thinks it might be viable to keep the Penguins in Pittsburgh. Yea this is pretty weak. I like how they’ve built an arena in Kansas City without any real promise of getting any franchises, and we’re struggling to get a replacement for Mellon. ---
